Vienna‘s Ringstraße
One of the world‘s most beautiful boulevards
Until the mid-19th century Vienna’s old city wall stands where Ringstraße can be found today. This type of fortification still proved very effective during the second Turkish siege in 1683 but is militarily obsolete by the end of the 18th century and now a disruption to the flow of traffic.
