The University of Vienna is one of the oldest and largest universities in Europe with more than 9.500 staff members working in 19 departments including 6.500 scientists. It is also Austria's largest research facility and educational institution offering 174 courses of study to presently 94.000 national und international students. Founded in 1365 the Alma Mater Rudolphina Vindobonensis celebrated its 650 year anniversary in 2015 with a manifold table of events.
