The sign O5

resistance against the Nazis

To the right of the main entrance we find the symbol O5 engraved on the wall. Originally this is painted on in white, later it is replaced by an engraving with a glass plate. 5 stands for the fifth letter of the alphabet, E; OE, in turn, for Austria (Oesterreich). This letter-number combination is the code of a resistance group working against the Nazis from 1942 onwards.
