Like a mammal

Among paleontologists, this is considered as one of the most famous fossils. Until today, it was unclear how mother and child died. What is special about this fossil is that at the moment of birth, the young animal died. Juveniles were born alive, not in eggs, which makes them appear mammal-like, although they are not related to them. In addition, the young were born with their tails pointing forward so that they would not drown during the time they were born.
