The Latin title reads, ‘NATIVITAS DOMINI’ (‘the birth of the Lord’). The surrounding inscription reads, ‘NASCITVR ABSQVE PATRE DEVS INFANS VIRGINE MATRE’ (‘the Holy Child is born without a father of the virgin mother’).
