Judas and the High Priest

Judas is on the left at the city gates with the Jewish High Priest, agreeing to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Interestingly, pictorial Passions only rarely include this scene. Normally the plot against Jesus is limited to the kiss Judas betrays him with. On the right we see Jesus washing his disciples’ feet before the Last Supper.
