Angel figures
The angel figures blend figurative with abstract art. The bodies of the angels dissipate into spirals and seem to melt into the blue decoration of the background. The rounded, blue adornments on the sides of the angel figures and continuing behind are accentuated with metal appliqué and connected by contoured lines.
Embellishment and flatness in the appliqué and embroidery are characteristic devices of the Jugendstil.
