The Music Pavilion
Lanner and Strauss played here
The music pavilion in Baden’s Kurpark is from the year 1894. The exhibition about the construction, which is in the form of half a 12-sided polygon, is on for 4 weeks.
The music pavilion is equipped with artificial lighting from the start, since the numerous spa concerts held in summer are often not over until 9:30pm. At first this in the form of gas lighting, which is replaced by electric lighting at the beginning of the 20th century.
At the beginning of the 1990s the music pavilion, in which concerts are still held in spring and summer, is thoroughly renovated.
