Marble, Stucco, and Gold
Craftsmanship at its Finest
The stucco work was executed by the siblings Johann Georg and Franz Josef Holzinger. Philipp Holzegger served as the gilder, while the organs were supplied by Johann Ignaz Egedacher.
The realization of the three altarpieces was commissioned by Abbot Maximilian Pagl, involving the painters Martin Altomonte, Domenico Parodi, and Carlo Carlone. The altars themselves were created in 1721 by the Salzburg master stonemason Georg Doppler.
Metalwork tasks, including the crafting of the crosses on the towers, were entrusted to the Linz blacksmith Johann Pretzer.
