The Roter Faden or Red Thread is a one and a half kilometre circuit route through the city of Melk, allowing you to experience its history and view the historical sites – from the remains of the Medieval town walls and “Austria’s most splendid post house” from the late 18th century to the famous ‘Tiled Villa’ (Kachelvilla).7
