16 - Model residence
zoom in zoom out

Carl Ritter von Borkowski (1829–1905) erected a model residence for Melk’s villa quarter in 1893. The building can be seen as a template for all later villas in the
neighbourhood. Based on the standard plans and prototypes, property owners could then plan their own residences. They could also select from a variety of styles
for the façade. The model residence is Neogothic.
