14 - Loos von Losimfeldt Villa
zoom in zoom out

A student of Otto Wagner, Josef Plecnik (1872–1957) designed the villa for a notary public in 1901. The residence, soon known as the ‘Tiled Villa’, far surpasses the bounds of Art Nouveau and is one of the most important villas erected in Lower Austria. Painter and co-founder of the Vienna Secession Ernst Stöhr (1860 – 1917) maintained his studio in the loft. Prior to WWI the villa was a meeting point for artists.
