The Vienna Gate was erected in the late 16th century. From here, Reichsstraße leads across the market to the Linz Gate. Before passing either gate, visiting traders had to pay a toll for their wares. The gates, like the Abbey, had set opening hours. Travellers arriving after closing time had to pay a night fee. The Vienna Gate was demolished in 1874.
