05 - Late Medieval shops
zoom in zoom out

The buildings at Hauptstraße 10, 12 and 14 feature upper storeys with shallow bay windows from the Late Gothic period, while the arched windows in the lower storeys still resemble Medieval shops. Famed composer Anton Bruckner stayed at no. 12 on several occasions between 1875 and 1876. He gave the children of his friend Josef Marböck piano lessons and spent many hours at the organ in Melk Abbey.
