The red thread - Melk
The oldest house still preserved in its original condition was built of rough stone in the late 15th century. A vine dating back several centuries is draped around
the entire façade. Surviving even the vine pest around 1900, the vine is protected as a natural monument. The neighbouring Medieval building of quarried stone was used for storage.
