The road widens now the so-called Täglicher Markt and is the center of the city. Here the Oberer- and Untere Landstrasse connect with the Trinity Square and by the narrow Marktgasse with the Pfarrplatz and the Hoher Markt. In the past it was a square with a city fountain, and this was the meeting point of the maids who had to bring fresh drinking water for the kitchen. The city chronicle refers to that also: the maids were sometimes too lazy, with the laundry to go to the Mühlbach or the Danube, therefore the city fountain hat to be blocked through a wooden gate by the district clerk by night.
