Aggsbach Charterhouse
The monastery complex of the former Aggsbach Charterhouse is divided into three main parts: cell wing, communal wing and farm wing.
Once you have crossed the bridge over the Wolfsteinbach you will find yourself on the former site of the small cloister which connected the monks‘ communal rooms.
In the chapterhouse wing on the right, the chapter room, now a shop and visitors’ information centre, and the sacristy were once located on the ground floor. Above are the library and monastery archive.
On the left on the upper floor can be found the refectory or dining room.
