4th Dept. Psychiatric Department of Forensic Psychiatry

In our department, we treat patients in the execution of measures (people with psychiatric illness and therapy requirements) as well as detainees and prisoners with psychotic disorders (prison psychoses), depression with suicidal constriction and adjustment difficulties to detention.

In addition to the diagnostic assessment, we also help with the discharge preparation, in the treatment of the underlying disease and the medium to long-term rehabilitation with the goal of legal probation (freedom from delinquency in the further life). This should be made possible by psychopharmacotherapy as well as psychotherapeutically oriented individual and group therapies, psychoeducation, cognitive therapy and cognitive training and body awareness training. The forensic psychiatry also carries out sports therapy measures, psychosocial counseling and counseling and supports the patients in promoting leisure activities.
