St. Nino's Convent Shop
You should not leave the shores of Paravani Lake empty-handed. One of the best places to buy traditional products from the region is the small, but beautiful shop run by the nuns of the nearby convent.
"The difference between existence and life is in creativity," say the nuns, combining local, traditional and European products in their shop display. The products on offer ranges from food to healing ointments and religious items.
For example, eighteen types of cheese, a wide selection of jams, honey, herbs, drinks and milk. And chocolate that is produced by processing cocoa beans from abroad with different percentages and wrapped in hand-made packaging. The decoration and packaging of the chocolates depict birds migrating to Javakheti, which contributes to their popularization.
But no matter if you buy food, drinks or ointments for wounds and rough skin - everything you can find here is natural and handmade. All products in St. Nino’s Convent Shop are wrapped in original packaging created by the nuns themselves.
