Mountain biking on the Nikoloz Romanov Trail

Some of the hiking routes in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park are suited for mountain biking too. The Nikoloz Romanov Trail is one of them.

It is possible to rent mountain bikes at Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Visit Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park Visitor Center in Borjomi, Meskheti 23 for information, maps and prices. As you have to register before hiking or biking on any route through the park, you should make a stop at the Visitor Center anyway. 

From the Visitor Center you bike along the main road for about 2 km before the route takes a right turn at the village of Likani, where the entrance to the National Park is. From there on you will be riding on forest roads or smaller trails.

Be aware that biking on hiking trails in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is something for experienced bikers in good physical condition. Forest roads and trails can be difficult and exhausting and some routes are not suited for biking at all.
