Restoring the facades of the State Hall
Improving cultural-historical appeal
The Austrian Castle and Fortress Authority is responsible for the upkeep of over 60 historic buildings in Austria. Following the refurbishment of museum establishments such as the Albertina or the Welt Museum, the restoration of the roof, windows and facades of the Hofburg is now one of its main tasks.
The completion of the State Hall tract, the facades of which are among the most beautiful at the Hofburg, greatly enhanced the appeal of Josefsplatz. In addition to restoring plaster, stucco and stone surfaces the historic windows and doors have been expertly repaired.
